Artists statement

This vector portrait was hard. I got the idea from all my black metal and death metal projects. I wanted to make myself look evil. I spent the most time on this project then on any other project I have worked on. I also had a lot fun working with it. I even made two others just to mess around with.

I spent about five hours to perfect this. This was probably the most horrible assignment I have ever done. It was the most time consuming one I have ever done. The background part took forever to duplicate. If I ever have to do something like this again I will kill myself.

I feel this is the best work I have done the whole semester. To me it looks like the real thing. This was the assignment I put the most effort in, and the most grueling.

This is the rolling hills. I am not sure why it didn't cut off the rest, I had all the other things in the box on illustrator and it still showed everything.

Here are some weird brushes I made. I really liked making the text brushes. The links were weird, and kind of difficult to make.

I am not to happy with these. The green one in the middle was the one I worked on the longest. The two fatter ones I got from a jug of beer called 'Mississippi Mud' that have in my room. The one on top is the best one and more touched up.

Black Metal

Art tag for gig poster

What I was going for was the Crust Punk, Black Metal, and Satanic look. I got the idea from some concert posters, cd covers and just art of that genre in general.

I kept this one because I really like the tribal tattoo look to it. The stroke on the B is kinda weird but it was even more weird without the stroke to compliment the S.

New logos

After reading your email I worked for two hours trying to come up with a new logo for my initials. Here is my new initial logo. Its my initials combined together. I changed the kill the sun logo, I am still having trouble with what to with the circle, or the sun, I want to use it but I want it to be interesting.

Production company logo

This is the other logo I was working on. Its for my editing and filming company I have named. I made five designs and picked my three favorites.

The image with the blood on it is one I am having trouble with. How do you get the text inside the sun without the orange color disappear? Every time I tried it, it would make the text round but the orange sun would disappear.

Here is my favorite of my initial logos. I have three others. But this one I liked the most.

Flowers

Here are my flowers. I had lots of fun with this. I originally made 24 flowers and my family and myself picked out the ones we liked the best and I arranged in a circle, with our favorite flower in the middle. The blue one was everyones favorite.

I added a little more detail on this one. Not much but it makes look better.

This project was hard. Despite the simpleness of the DS I had lots trouble getting things right due to the fact that I was using a touch pad mouse. Getting the shadows right and the buttons right was very difficult as well.

Here is the cat I made. Once I understood the instructions, I was able to do this with little difficulty.

After all the trouble to make the frog I am happy with the way it turned out, considering I have never done anything on Illustrator. I had trouble with the feet, if you can't notice. It was fun to work on and its not a replica of the model you showed us, I tried, but there are certain tools I have no idea how to use. At some times it was frustrating.
